Set of 8 Note Cards

Inspiration for the card:

Upon opening his shop in Cleveland in 1904, Martin Rose found that even more astute individuals envisioned “blacksmiths” as those to whom one would turn to repair a buggy or broken machine, if not to shoe a horse.

Few architects or wealthy prospective clientele had ever seen the type of work Martin sought to produce.

In order to demonstrate what might be created from metal, to those unfamiliar with refined European skills or artistry, Martin forged a full size spray of roses which he then actually carried as his “calling card.”

The namesake roses have passed from generation to generation as a symbol of his skill and genius … as well as inspiration to those interested in our craft.
